Financial assistance

Dear Friends,
Since the first day the email address: dlaukrainy@uek.krakow.pl started operating, we have received numerous requests for help, often dramatic, requiring immediate action.

Some of them also concern financial support. That' is why we decided to start a fundraising campaign for the Cracow University of Economics Community members coming from Ukraine. Thank you very much to everyone who joins us and contributes this nobel cause even with the smallest amount of money. Every gesture of solidarity counts.

MATERIAL ASSISTANCE

It is crucial that the help provided is wise, i.e. that it solves real problems. Therefore, one of the first activities of CUE is to join the campaign conducted by the City of Krakow. We encourage all employees, students, doctoral students and friends of the University to join it and deliver to the University the products requested by the Mayor of Lviv. We are collecting: thermal blankets, sleeping bags, sleeping mats (with plastic covering), mattresses, clothes, raincoats, hygiene products, body cleansers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, underwear for women, underwear for men, underwear for children, sanitary napkins, diapers for children, diapers for adults, paper towels, microfiber towels, a set of reusable kitchen utensils: deep dishes, spoons, forks, knives, cups, antiseptic/spirit, reusable masks. Food: water, quick-cooking foods, energy bars, dried fruit, nuts, canned foods, pasta, instant cereal, matches, batteries, lighters, candles, medical kits. If possible, please separate medications from hygiene products and food. This will make it easier to sort and prepare appropriate packages. 

The above mentioned items can be dropped off from Monday (February 28, 2022) at the designated place, near the concierge in Pavilion C, from 7.00 to 18.00 They will be transported by volunteers to the collection point indicated by the Krakow City Hall.

Housing assistance

If you can offer temporary housing assistance to Ukrainian women and men who have decided to leave their country and seek refuge in Poland, please send an email to: dlaukrainy@uek.krakow.pl.

In the e-mail, please provide your name, phone number and e-mail address to contact, as well as information about how many people and for how long you can provide shelter or possible support in transporting people from the border.

If there is a need for your offer of assistance, a CUE staff member will contact you directly.

Transportation assistance

If you can offer transport assistance (transport of people or goods) to Ukrainian women and men, who have decided to leave their country and seek refuge in Poland, please send an email to: dlaukrainy@uek.krakow.pl.

In the e-mail, please give your name, phone number and e-mail address for contact, and time of possible support in transporting people from the border.

If there is a need for your offer of assistance, a CUE staff member will contact you directly.
